In this Brightspace Minute, we have a few tips for finishing up the semester.

April 26: Tips for the End of the Semester

It's hard to believe, but the end of the semester is coming up fast!
Here are a few tips to help review your course, close it, improve it for next time, and more.

1. Course Evaluations
   Just an FYI: When evaluations become available for students, they will all be accessed from the "Course Evaluation module" (text box) on the Brightspace home page, beneath the course list.
2. Make your course inactive
   This is optional, but if you want to close a course so students will no longer have access to it, follow these steps:
   • Go to Course Tools
   • Course Availability
   • uncheck "Course is Active"
   • Save
3. Recent Tips
   In case you missed them, these recent Brightspace Minutes also have end-of-the-semester tips:
   • Grade Book tips include steps for revealing and adjusting final grades.
   • Analytics give insights into how your students are doing. For instance, Quiz reports show whether there are identifiable trends in confusion or miscomprehension.
   • Bulk-grading assignments is helpful if you want to enter 0s for incomplete work.
   • Anthology Ally helps you consider how to increase accessibility in your course the next time you teach it by providing a report that identifies what can be improved.
   • Tips for getting your course ready can be useful if you like to get an early start on preparing the next iteration. In particular, read about bulk-managing dates.
