In this Brightspace Minute, we answer some questions about Quizzes.

October 27, 2023: Editing Quiz Questions & Quiz Settings

We've decided to focus on this topic because we've been asked many questions about it. Here are a few:

Q: I noticed a mistake in a quiz question and some students have already submitted it. Can I edit the question?
A: Yes. Go to the Quiz and click on the question to edit. Make your change and save. Note this will only affect future attempts.

Q: But what about the quiz attempts that have been submitted? Can I regrade these answers?
A: Yes, but it how you change it depends on the question type. Please see this UVM Knowledge Base article for detail directions.

Q: What are my options for displaying quiz grades & feedback to students?
A: Brightspace provides lots of options! The quiz settings control what feedback students see and when they see it (after they have submitted the quiz). For example, you can choose whether students see questions, correct answers, incorrect answers, your feedback, and the total score. Additionally you can choose when students see their submissions - after the due date, after you've graded the attempt, or upon submitting the quiz. There's more choices - read about your options and detailed directions in this UVM Knowledge Base article Quiz Settings: What Students See.
