The Norway Spruce, sometimes referred to as the European Spruce, has the scientific name: Picea abies. This graceful evergreen has long enchanted people of the northern climates. Its deep, rich color and elegant branches bring joy to the soul even in the darkest and harshest of cold, winter days. Its branchlets easily sway in the wind, giving the appearance of a friendly wave hello. Not only does the Norway Spruce nourish the eyes, but also the ears because one can make string instruments out of its acoustically pleasing timber.
