In 1946, CNB had decided to withdraw Vermont from the National Federation. Martin was dissapointed to hear this and tried to understand why CNB decided to make this decision. Martin had explained to CNB that within the last year, she had made efforts to help by making a trip to Vermont representing both the Committee and the National Federation. MArtin also stated that they have never failed to fill a request for the service to the Vermont group, and in fact spent more time in Vermont than any other state. Martin stated that it was unfourtunate that a Republican state would not be represented on the National Federation Board.
